HAMPTON ST OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathy is a form of hands on therapy that is now widely recognised as one of the most safe and effective manipulative therapies available.

At Hampton St Osteopathy, our Osteopaths not only treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders, but we also address your whole body framework in patients of all ages and activity levels.

Our Osteopaths use manipulation techniques such as articulation, gentle joint manipulation, soft tisssue massage and resistance stretching (MET), cranial treatment and functional treatment to assist you to achieve normal pain free movement and function by correcting underlying dysfunctions.

Our Osteopaths have extensive experience working with all levels and types of athletes, including national and elite level athletes. We will thoroughly explain your injury so you can complete your rehabilitation with complete understanding. We will help you return to your sport and give you the right advice to help prevent the re-occurrence of your injury.

WHAT DOES THE CONSULTATION INVOLVE?

The initial consultation includes a thorough history, examination and treatment. Osteopathic treatment addresses the site of your injury and all related structures.

Osteopaths are primary care health practitioners and are trained to carry out thorough physical assessments as well as standard medical examinations of the cardiovascular, respiratory and nervous system.

Osteopaths believe in the body’s natural ability to heal itself and we encourage our patients to utilise a home exercise and stretching program to decrease the number of treatments they require to restore their health and be active again. We also consider a healthy diet and nutrition, emotional wellbeing (through techniques such as stress reduction exercises and strategies) as important factors in your treatment.

Osteopathic Training

Osteopaths complete a 5-year university degree course and are required by their governing body (Australian Osteopathic Association) to undertake continuing professional development training throughout their career to develop skill in order to deliver the best treatment possible.


Dr. Dian Parry
Dian excels in the treatment and management of sports injuries and headaches and the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries. Dr. Parry also utilises dry needling technique for a wide variety of musculoskeletal pain.

Dr. Jelena Blajer
Jelena excels in the treatment and management of spinal pain, sports injuries and arthritis. Jelena's special working interests include women's health, pregnancy and post-pregnancy, children and babies, using techniques including craniosacral therapy.

Dr. Holly Ricardo
Holly excels in the diagnosis & treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal disorders including spinal pain & sporting injuries, utilising relevant pilates-based strengthening as part of her management. Holly's special interests include sporting injuries & visceral complaints.

Anna Beetham Podiatry

Anna's seven years working in multidisciplinary sports medicine clinics has enabled her to work with a strong team approach to functional rehabilitation and treatment of athletes and the active community. She has a passion for health, fitness and wellness. She is also passionate about looking at each person holistically and working with various allied health and alternative health providers to provide the most effective treatment plan for each patient. Anna was an elite swimmer and national level hockey player and is currently the Podiatry Manager of Physiosports Brighton, the ppodiatry coordinator for Oxfam Trailwalker and was part of the 2006 Commonwealth games medical team. Anna's areas of interest include sports medicine, biomechanics and gait analysis, paediatric podiatry and the adolescant athlete.

PODIATRY SERVICES PROVIDED:

  • Biomechanical and functional assessment ( including looking at specific movement patterns for the individuals sporting,activity requirements)

  •  Digital gait analysis utilising silicone coach technology (video camera linked to software wich enables more effective gait analysis.

  • Treatment, management plans and advice for lower limb injuries including foot, ankle, leg and knee.

  • Liason with referral network to enable more functional and holistic treatment.

  • Footwear assessment and recommendations.

  • Orthotic prescription (custom made, semi-custom and off the shelf).

  • Genaral footcare including blisters, corns, callous, warts and ingrown toenails.

CrossBox®
Ultimate Fitness

CrossBox® is a combination of intense Boxing, Interval training, Skipping and core strengthening.

The Body of the workout consist of 5 minute rounds, with a 30 second recovery between rounds. The aim is to complete as many rounds as possible within five minutes.

Each Round incorporates a combination of the four disciplines, ensuring maximum exposure and fatique.

This type of training ensures maximum cardiovascular
and muscular endurance,
along with lean muscle gain and high caloric burn.

Each session runs for 60 minutes and includes warm-up,
cool-down and stretching.

Included in the induction session price, is Wrist Wraps to and Inners to protect both Wrists and Boxing Gloves, as you will be unable to participate if you do not have wrist protection.
